A beautiful sunday on the Isle

What an awesome day, it was cold as hell, but the sun finally decide to come out after weeks dull sky. And it's days like these that makes me forget about the miserable Chain Ferry and the total isolation of the island life.

Another weekend on the Isle...

Just a cold and dull day on the island, so why not visit the carisbrooke castle on the isle of wight near newport? they only charge an arm and a leg for you to see a donkey, few cannons, and a big pile of stones!

And last but not least, the King of the castle!

Does anyone else starting to miss the snow?!

But only the pretty and fun ones, not the ones that makes you can't go anywhere, or constantly feel like you're about to:
1. fall and break something
2. can't stop at cross road and about to be hit by a bus (happened, twice)

The thing I dread...

So here's something that's totally torturing me right now, everyday, at least twice a day.
Photo taken on a HTC Desire phone.  Not too bad (until you click and enlarges it), so don't.

It's called the cowes floating bridge (aka the chain ferry), and the only connection between East Cowes (work), and West Cowes (flat), unless you want to drive an additional 15 miles. Aparently the first one was built in 1859, now i know that's a lot of reason for keeping it for historic reasons, but surely that's no damn excuse for it to still be the ONLY means of transport between 2 Cowes?

And you know what the saddest thing is?  I can actually see work from my flat, and it still takes me half an hour!

Wood choppin with Thomas and Efua

Spent a good hour or two chopping the logs I had left over from last year. But as Efua puts it "why can't we just use central heating?" True though, I hardly can lift my arms right now, but the awesome smell of a roaring wood fire... you just can't beat it.

The photo above was taken by Thomas... but i liked it so i thought i'd put it up!

But soon after the wood chopping turned into thomas hunting!

Going back in time, a few of my favourite autumn shots from 2010

If you're reading this, you'll obviously know I've totally been slacking, and have not been taking new photos, so i'm totally running out of materials, and just simply adding old pics from back in november to make up for the blogroll.
